If you look at junk in a river it is never ends up where the current is going it is where the dead spot is. Water flows towards an Eddy. WebFeb 11, 2024 · Using the canister filter as co2 reactor is good idea. I have experience 5+ year's with dissolving co2 through canister filter. I'm using Fluval 406, Eheim 2075 and Sunsun 302 without any problem, no leaks, no problem with biological filtration, no problem with gasket wear off. Everything works fine.

I'm scrapping the ball valve design, and like Tom recommended, adding another pump inline to my canister filter output. This setup will look cleaner, all you'll see is the Injector "Y" into the outlet pipe. The ball valve cut too much flow from the canister.
